The
Think award went to team 685 Smithfield HS This award is given to the team that the judges feel best reflects the “journey” the team took as they experienced the engineering design process during the build season. The FIRST Tech Challenge Innovate Award celebrates a team that not only thinks outside the box, but also has the ingenuity and inventiveness to make their designs come to life.
The
Connect Award went to team 688 Cumberland HS
This award is given to the team that judges feel most connected with their
local community and the engineering community.
The
Motivate Award went to team 653 Beacon Charter School
This judged award celebrates the team that exemplifies the essence of the
FIRST
Tech Challenge competition through team spirit and enthusiasm. This team
shows their spirit through costumes and fun outfits, a team cheer or
outstanding spirit, and through their collective efforts to make
FIRST
known throughout their school or community.
The
Amaze Award went to team 707 Mount Pleasant HS During the course of the competition, judges may encounter a team whose unique efforts, performance, or dynamics merit recognition.
The
Inspire Award went to team 154 Burrillville HS
This award is given to the team that the judges felt truly embodied the
‘challenge’ of the FTC program. This team serves as an inspiration as to
what this program, and the young minds involved, can accomplish.
The Finalist Alliance
This award will be given to the finalist alliance represented in the final elimination match.

Sorry the the photos
don't cover the award ceremony. but the volunteers from Team Unlimited had
to get back to the barn. We had been at the MA FTC Championship Friday
PM and Saturday, and after the field competition at the RI FTC Championship
on Sunday, homework assignments were pressing. We look forward to
seeing all the RI teams next season, and teams 154 (Burrillville), 655
(Tiverton) and 614 (Met Liberty) at the World Championships in Atlanta!
